Emma Lunde, 18, Norwegian, Female, 3 months Shaolin program.   Before I came to the school I had no prior experience with martial arts, let alone kung fu. In fact, everyone I know was surprised to hear that I, a shy ballerina-girl, was going all the way from Norway to China to learn martial arts. I even surprised myself. Safe to say the nerves were very present. However, there was nothing to worry about. All the students and the masters created an incredibly welcoming and warm environment. I am still young, but I have never encountered a group of people where everyone is so kind and helpful.

Initially I thought 3 months was a long time, but time flew by so fast. I learnt something new every day, and although training was hard and sometimes made me want to hurl up in a ball of pain (that’s you, power stretching) it was so much fun! Even though we had the same classes every week, the training was always varied. And when we thought we wouldn’t be able to walk upstairs after training, the masters made us do 10 more laps. Pushing past our limits was hard, but it made us better and only two weeks in I could already feel and see that I was much stronger.

I had such a great experience, and I would without hesitation recommend you to try this school. The academy fits for newbies as well as the more experienced.
